Soul Aid arranged Chabeel Day in June 2017, in Priory Park, Southend-On-Sea. We handed out Chabeel and other soft drinks in rememberenace of the 5th Sikh guru who was burnt alive in 1606.
The fire which destroyed Grenfell Tower in June 2017 was one of the UK's worst modern disasters. Soul Aid volunteers were helping out where ever they could by providing food, clothes, hot/cold drinks, lifts, liaising with the local authority and speaking to the survivors and offering them general support.
Soul Aid thrive on building communities and helping the less fortunate. One of our main objectives are to extend our reach to rough sleepers across London. We aim to work with local authorities and other agencies to ensure we target the right areas and get support out to those who need it most.
